Few days ago, I published a post describing the Marco Polo Museum, on the island of Korčula, in Croatia. This museum tells a story about the medieval Venetian merchant, traveller and warrior Marco Polo, but this story is partially based on imagination and legends.
I’m not sure if there is any other place where you can have a Museum Ice Cream. It tastes very, very good!
According to a legend, Marco Polo was born in the medieval town of Korčula, and as of 2006 there is a chain of shops in the town, selling products branded as Marco Polo. There are compasses, t-shirts, and also some Croatian liquors with the brand labels. The Museum was established few years later, as a result of creative approach to cultural tourism.
