Hello there – smile 🙂
My name is Lana and I’m the Founder and the Creator. I believe that #MuseumsAreFun. This is the Fun Museums blog, a great place for those who love culture and heritage travel.
I’m a traveller and entrepreneur, from a small European country named Croatia. I work as a culture marketing consultant, and I travel. All the time. At least to a nearby place.
These two pictures above were taken during my recent trip to Finland, where I made a post series, in the Arktikum Museum and on the Reindeer farm in Inari, respectively.
My travel destinations are exotic places, distant regions, secret part of the cities, and amazing routes. When I visited Berlin for the New Year eve 2014/2015 I decided to show a picture of a fun statue, situated in front of the city’s Lutheran Cathedral, that looked a bit “tired” (laugh). Then I started this blog, first by publishing few similar pictures and impressions from specific museums, and during the first months of the blog’s existence, I wrote about my little or larger trips.
I don’t assume that all work is mine. I rarely travel completely alone. Most of my work was done with the help of my great companions and collaborators. For that reasons, in most cases I write a post, I say “we” instead of “I”. There is also something named Fun Museums Network. The members can enjoy my digital marketing and communication services for discounted prices, while I make one free post series for them, the way they want or need within the blog’s concept.
Even if your museum is situated on another side of the world, and out of my current travel plan, we might find a solution. Currently, my closest collaborators are the Vučedol Culture Museum (in Vukovar, on the East of Croatia) and the Croatian Railway Museum in Zagreb, and we are currently working on a post series about people who have a special passion for railways and trains.
I you want to join me, be a museum travel writer, or a museum network member, feel free to contact me. More news about these possibilities will be published soon. Don’t forget to follow my social media sites and subscribe to the newsletter. You can also talk to me, by following this link. You can also check one of my professional articles.
